Here's what we know.
I'm not pregnant.
I'm bummed to say the least. I never really felt pregnant which is to say that I didn't exibit any of the symptoms I have previously. I've been pregnant twice before, and both times I had unimaginable migraines and a mad craving for chocolate chip cookies.
It was the cookie craving that tipped me off last summer. With the minimal effort I'm making to watch my weight, I never keep junk food in the house anymore. So when I looked up onto a shelf filled with soft baked chocolate cookies, I knew something was up.
This time, I went to the store and bought cookies, I made cookies, I made a cake and all I got in return was 6 additional pounds in my jeans.
I'm less frustrated at the non-pregnancy and more at the money spent. My baby will be worth every penny it takes to bring her to me but deep down I knew that I wasn't ready to try. I'm supposed to be in the planning/saving stages. But I thought the risk would be worth it, especially if I got a BFP.
Instead, I got super sore nipples and AF. It's ok. I've got a lot of things to keep me busy right now. It's the busy season in my industry. Meaning that now through September I'll be fielding more than 600 calls a week and selling like a mad woman. I've closed 6 new accounts this week alone!
Plus there's my 2011 Reading Commitment. My goal is to read 26 books by year's end. One book whose title will start with each letter of the alphabet. I'm 15 books in and I think I've only got 7 letters covered! Needless to say I've been overlapping some of the alphabet.
And finally, Project Linus. I am a crocheter. It's the one thing that my grandma taught me that none of the other girls in my family had the patience to learn. The project is asking knitters and crocheters across the country to send hand-made blankets to their headquarters. The details can be found here and free patterns are here. The goal is to send hundreds of thousands of blankets to needy children as a symbol of love. If you don't knit or crochet, don't let that stop you. The only rule is that the blanket has to be hand-made, the medium is up to you.
Also. Can you all go and send some love to BB? What happened to her just isn't right.
Hugs and lots of Love,
Jen
